HENKEL OFFERS PRODUCTS FOR A CHANGING ENVIRONMENT TO THE COATINGS INDUSTRY

AMBLER, Pa., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- With the launch of three new water-borne products, Henkel Corporation announced today that its Coatings & Inks Division is giving even greater emphasis to technically advanced, environmentally compatible products.
"Our main mandate is to solve our customers' problems," said Dennis Cullen, vice president of the company's Coatings & Inks Division. "We understand the needs of formulators and their customers, and are working to satisfy those needs with products that are more environmentally sound than ever before, cost-effective, and backed by superior service.
"Of course, we are also working to prepare our customers for tomorrow's challenges," said Cullen. "That means that we must be both responsive and proactive to a rapidly changing market."
The WATERPOXY(TM) waterborne epoxy system is a low-solvent formulation for severe-service industrial use. It can be used as a primer, as a top-coat, or as an ingredient in two-pack industrial coatings. DSM(TM) 2000 EXP rheology modifier contains about twice the solids of other modifiers used in high- and semi-gloss water-based coatings. It provides improved hiding and one-coat coverage. And FOAMASTER(R) EXP-63 high-persistency defoamer helps extend the shelf-life of a variety of paints and coatings.
"These products are indisputable evidence of Henkel's commitment to lead the coating ingredients industry into the future," said Cullen.
Based in Ambler, the Coatings & Inks Division offers a broad range of specialty resins, additives, and chemicals used in industrial coatings, architectural paints, graphic arts applications, UV/EB curable coatings and civil engineering products. The entire product line is developed and serviced on a worldwide basis, giving customers international formulation uniformity and consistent quality based on global technology.
