HEC holds Progress Review Meeting of QECs.

ISLAMABAD -- The Ninth Progress Review meeting of Quality Enhancement Cells (QECs) of 15 WCategory private universities was held at Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad.

Dr. Mohammed Rafiq Baloch, Director General, Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) presided over the meeting. Mr. Nasir Shah, Director QAA, and heads and representatives of QECs of respective universities attended the meeting.

The participants discussed the weaknesses identified in their academic programmes as well as plans to eradicate them. The action plan for assessment year 201415 was also decided.

On the occasion, QAA arranged a workshop on "Six Sigma in Higher Education" for the participants. Mr. Mohammad Yousaf Jamil, Director QEC, University of Management and Technology, Lahore and Mr. Farrukh Idrees, Manager QEC, National University of Computer and Engineering Sciences (FAST) were the resource persons. The participants found the workshop useful and proposed that for covering contents comprehensively, another twoday workshop should be conducted.
