HEARx EXPANDS ON FLORIDA WEST COAST
 WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Paul A. Brown, M.D.,

chairman of HEARx, Ltd. (NASDAQ: EARS), announced today that HEARx has acquired the retail customer list of Whisper Labs (WL), which sells hearing aids in four locations in Florida's Pinellas and Hernando counties. These additional centers will expand the HEARx chain of facilities, by providing products and services for the hearing impaired to 35 locations in total: 22 centers in Florida, eight centers in the Atlanta area; and one each in New York; Portland, Ore.; and Richmond, Va. In addition, HEARx operates three mobile units, two in Florida and one in Georgia.
The entire staff of Whisper Labs will remain with HEARx. Mr. Stefan Van Schenck, owner of Whisper Labs and the founder and former owner of Vanco, will be in charge of HEARx's West Coast Florida operations. HEARx will lease or sublease from Whisper Labs certain real property and equipment.
"The combination of the four Whisper Lab centers in Pinellas and Hernando counties with our existing facility located at the AARP Pharmacy Center in Pinellas Park will help HEARx establish a strong presence as a provider of service for the hearing impaired," said Dr. Brown, HEARx founder and CEO. "Further, I believe it is our first step toward our goal of establishing approximately 25 HEARx centers over the next two years on Florida's West Coast. Our goal is to capture 20 percent of the market for products and services for the hearing impaired."
Dr. Brown also stated, "I am very pleased that Stefan Van Schenck, who has over 35 years of experience working with the hearing impaired, will continue to manage our Florida West Coast operations."
HEARx Ltd., the nation's largest network of independent auditory vestibular rehabilitative centers, has comprehensive state-of-the-art facilities offering a full range of diagnostics and rehabilitative services.
