HEALTH CLUB TELEVISION ANNOUNCES MERGER DISCUSSIONS NEW YORK, July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Health Club Media Networks, Inc.
(NASDAQ: HCTV) announced today that the company is presently engaged in merger discussions with prospective partners. Although no agreement in principle has as yet been reached, the company believes that such an agreement may be reached within 60 days.
In connection with merger discussions, the company has curtailed its plans to expand its radio network beyond an initial launch operating in 75 clubs located in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington and San Diego. Health Club Media Networks, Inc., founded in 1988, operates an advertiser-supported Health Club Media Networks and Health Club Radio Network in combination with providing promotions and event marketing for participating sponsors in health clubs throughout the United States.
