HCORP, Inc. (www.hcorp.com) is the market leader in delivering interactive digital patient education, entertainment, communication and compliance services to improve the delivery of healthcare to hospitals and the patient's bedside.

O'Leary's enthusiasm for HCORP and its robust and innovative turnkey service, The Hospital Network (THN), is demonstrated in his announcement: "I joined HCORP, Inc. because I share the Board's and Executive Team's vision of leveraging best-in-class interactive technologies to measurably improve patient education, increase patient empowerment and help clinicians and hospitals deliver quality care with greater operational efficiency."

Mark's background includes executive positions sales, product management, IT operations, channel management and technical marketing with companies such as Euclid Inc., AT&T, and Excite@Home, specifically in data communications, data networking, and IT product and services.

"Mark brings an extraordinary level of achievement and expertise to HCORP," states Ron Eastman, former CEO and now executive chairman. Prior to HCORP, Inc., Mark was CEO and president of Euclid Inc., establishing a suite of IT Operational Support System (OSS) software and services developed to provide large IT departments (including clients such as Chart1 and Bell South) a platform with visibility into service delivery and true IT costs by product, LOB, or customer. At Excite@Home, Mark was the executive vice president of Broadband Services responsible for P&L, Operations, Sales and Marketing, Developmental and sustaining engineering and overall service delivery of consumer and commercial Internet products. Mark spent 16 years at AT&T in various executive and management positions including vice president of Managed Services responsible for P&L, product management and development and professional services for AT&T Solutions. As vice president of Technical Marketing, Mark was responsible for sales engineering and technical product management for AT&T's $2B data products group. Mark has a BA from State University College of New York at Oneonta and an MBA from St. Mary's. Mark, his wife Sheila, and daughter Erin live in Danville. As chairman of the San Mateo Board of Junior Achievement, Mark is active as both a fundraiser and classroom instructor.

HCORP is also proud to announce Borgess Health Alliance, a hospital headquartered in Kalamazoo, Mich. and a customer of HCORP, has also been honored for a second consecutive year in recognition of its innovative use of technology, and specifically its implementation of The Hospital Network by Hospitals & Health Networks (HHN) magazine as a Finalist for the "Most Wired Innovator Award." Borgess was recognized in the July 2002 issue of HHN and will be profiled in the September / October 2002 issue of Health Forum Journal.

Krystal Schwartz, Borgess' IT Educator says, "Our interactive TV system, The Hospital Network, is a service that will help Borgess reach its goal of providing the best care and experience for patients."

"With the system, patients are able to re search their diagnosis and treatments," Schwartz continued. "This provides a real advantage to understanding their illness and aiding in their recovery process."

Borgess has found that The Hospital Network's offering of interactive education and entertainment services "...gives patients something to do and takes their minds off their pain and discomfort," said Sharon Anderson-Western, RN, clinical nurse manager, 8-Northwest. "Some patients have needed less pain medication. Patients and their families also appear to be better informed in making critical healthcare decisions. The system is a win-win-win for patients, the clinical staff, and the hospital."
