HBO's Game Of Thrones racks up 19 Emmy nods.


HIT series Games Of Thrones is leading the pack with an amazing 19 Emmy award nominations.

The epic HBO medieval drama has been nominated for the best drama series as well as a clutch of other accolades.

Northern Ireland's Ronan Hill and his team have been nominated for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series - which they won for season two and were nominated for in season three.

Other nods go to writers David Benioff and Dan Weiss, Peter Dinklage for Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, Lena Headey for Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, and Dame Diana Rigg for Guest Actress.

The series also received a 20th nomination in the Outstanding Interactive Program for the season 4 Premiere - Facebook Live and Instagram.

Game Of Thrones films on location across Northern Ireland as well as in Titanic Studios in Belfast and the Linen Mill Film Studios in Banbridge.

The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on Monday, August 25.

The star studded ceremony will be held at Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles.
