HAVE you noticed the remaining bank branches are becoming more like bookie shops? You go in and there are colourful tables and chairs where you can sit and relax but unlike the bookmakers there is seldom a human teller, leaving you to deal with a glorified ATM.

While banks are supposed to be places where money is exchanged, unlike the bookies they are trying to persuade their customers not to use cash.

But the one big difference between the banks and the bookies is when our bet goes bad we lose our cash, when the bank loses they win because we cover their losses.
