HARVARD INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES: FIRST U.S. PATENT TO BE ISSUED ON SPUD STOP FRENCH FRY VENDING MACHINE ON DEC. 28, 1993

 VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Harvard International Technologies Ltd. (AMEX: FRY) today announced that the Patent and Trademark Office of the U.S. Department of Commerce has issued a notice that U.S. Patent No. 527296, which relates to certain aspects of Harvard's french fry vending machine, will be issued on Dec. 28, 1993. Harvard believes the patent will provide some protection in the United States from french fry vending technologies which may compete with Harvard using dehydrated potato powders and cooking oil. Additional patent claims are still pending before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
 The Company said that the granting of this patent represents another positive step toward the full commercialization of the Spud Stop(TM) system. The Company will continue to pursue additional claims in both the United States and other jurisdictions. Other patent applications are currently pending in Australia, Canada, the Republic of Korea, and the European Patent Office.
 Harvard International Technologies Ltd. is a development stage company engaged in the manufacturing and marketing of the Spud Stop 50-second french fry vending system.
