HARSCO CORPORATION ANNOUNCES NEW CONTRACT FOR STEEL MILL SERVICE OPERATIONS IN MEXICO

 HARRISBURG, Pa., Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Malcolm W. Gambill, chairman and chief executive officer of Harsco Corporation (NYSE: HSC), today announced that the company recently entered into a new contract with the Hylsa Works at its location in Puebla, Mexico, to provide a variety of specialized steel mill services.
 This 10-year contract, valued at about $25 million, is the second contract for Harsco at this steel making location and includes scrap handling, sponge iron and iron ore handling, pit cleaning, dust hauling and locomotive services.
 Gambill commented, "One of Harsco's recent strategic objectives in the Heckett MultiServ Division has been to expand the company's presence in providing customized services to steel producers in Mexico. In the past 12 months, the company has renegotiated two long-term contract extensions there and has started operations at three new mills in Mexico. Harsco also anticipates receiving additional contracts for steel mill services in Mexico prior to the end of the year."
