HARSCO CORPORATION'S PATENT SCAFFOLDING DIVISION RENAMED PATENT CONSTRUCTION SYSTEMS

 HARRISBURG, Pa., Dec. 6, /PRNewswire/ -- Malcolm W. Gambill, chairman and chief executive officer of Harsco Corporation (NYSE: HSC) today announced that the company's Patent Scaffolding Division has been renamed Patent Construction Systems, effective Dec. 1, 1993.
 Gambill commented, "We chose Patent Construction Systems because this name more accurately describes the Division's broad product range of scaffolding, shoring and forming systems and emphasizes Patent's services to the construction, industrial maintenance and infrastructure marketplaces."
 Gambill also made known that Patent Plant Services was recently restructured within the Division to provide enhanced marketing and scaffold contracting services to refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants.
 The Patent Construction Systems Division of Harsco is one of the nation's leading scaffolding, shoring and concrete forming companies, with operations at 40 branch offices here, as well as in Mexico and Canada. Headquartered in Paramus, N.J., the Division employs about 550 people.
