HARRY ANDERSON NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF BRANDON TARTIKOFF'S NEW PRODUCTION CO.
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Harry Anderson has been named executive vice president of Moving Target Productions, the television and motion picture production firm newly established by entertainment mogul Brandon Tartikoff. In his new position, Anderson will be responsible for strategic planning and all key administrative decisions at the company. Moving Target Productions has recently established its offices in the Beverly Hills area. "I am pleased that my former Paramount colleague Harry Anderson is the first hire at Moving Target Productions," Tartikoff said. "This new company will not be a traditional production entity but rather a `roundtable' of multifaceted creative minds: some writers, some producers and some executives. "Harry has always demonstrated an uncanny ability to be a visionary thinker and planner, and I hope to take great advantage of those abilities." Before assuming his new position, Anderson had a long career as a journalist and public relations executive. He spent more than 18 years at the Los Angeles Times as a reporter and editor, eventually becoming deputy business editor and a weekly columnist for The Times. In the early 1980s, he helped pioneer in-depth business coverage of the entertainment industry at The Times and supervised the writing and editing of all major show business-related stories for almost a decade. In 1990-92, he served as vice president of Corporate Communications at Paramount Pictures during the time that Tartikoff was chairman and chief executive officer of the studio, handling media relations, special projects and other administrative responsibilities. Most recently, Anderson has been senior vice president of Sitrick and Co., a media relations and management consulting firm based in Century City, Calif. A native of Tacoma, Wash., Anderson holds a master's degree from UCLA and a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He has been a member of the board of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, and for several years he was a part-time instructor in journalism at the University of Southern California and California State University, Northridge. -0- 1/10/94 /CONTACT: Moving Target Productions, 310-271-5790/
