HARRIS WINS $52 MILLION SAUDI RADIO CONTRACT

 ROCHESTER, N.Y., June 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS) has been awarded a $52 million contract by the U.S. Army Communications Electronic Command (CECOM) in Ft. Monmouth, N.J. to provide advanced HF radio systems to the Saudi Arabian Air National Guard.
 The contract calls for Harris' RF Communications Division in Rochester, N.Y. to supply RF-5000 Falcon-Series HF digital tactical radio systems that will be installed in vehicles and base station sites. Harris also will provide Arabic-language data terminals, turnkey logistical support and technical assistance.
 The RF-5000 is widely used by the U.S. and foreign armed forces, including the United Kingdom and NATO, Latin America, and Asian countries. The Harris radios also have been sold to several Gulf Cooperation Council countries in the Middle East.
 Harris RF Communications Division is a part of Harris' Communications Sector. The division is a world leader in the design, manufacture, installation and support of advanced HF, VHF and UHF radio equipment, security products, digital video radio transmission systems, turnkey systems and networks.
