 HARRIS NAMES DAVID E. HALLEY VICE PRESIDENT-GENERAL MANAGER
 OF AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEMS DIVISION
 MELBOURNE, Fla., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS) has announced the promotion of David E. Halley to vice president - general manager, Air Traffic Control Systems Division in the company's Electronic Systems Sector.
 Halley, 50, previously was deputy general manager of the division, which recently was selected by the Federal Aviation Administration to complete a $1.6 billion Voice Switching and Control System project that will modernize the voice communications network of the nation's air traffic control system.
 He joined Harris in 1969 as a systems engineer and has held positions of increasing responsibility within the company, including vice president - programs at the Government Communication Systems Division. He was named deputy general manager of the Air Traffic Control Systems Division in January 1991.
 Before joining Harris, Halley was a customer engineer for IBM and served in the U.S. Air Force. He has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Kentucky and a master's degree in system management from the Florida Institute of Technology.
 The Harris Air Traffic Control Systems Division, based in Palm Bay, Fla., is a supplier of advanced civil and military air traffic control systems.
