FROM NASDAQ TO THE AMERICAN STOCK EXCHANGE
NEW YORK, Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange announced today that Harold's Stores, Inc. of Norman, Okla., began trading 3,342,957 shares of common stock. Trading under ticker symbol HLD, the stock opened on 1,100 shares at 5-1/8.
Harold's Stores previously traded in the NASDAQ National Market System under the symbol HRLD.
The company and its subsidiaries own and operate a chain of ladies' and men's specialty apparel stores at sixteen locations across Oklahoma, Texas, Mississippi, Maryland, Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama. Their product line and merchandise mix is targeted primarily at the upper- market consumer, with the strongest appeal to the 20 to 50 year-old age group.
Harold's Stores reported net income of $226,000, or $.07 per share, on net sales of $8.73 million for the 13 weeks ended Aug. 3, 1991, compared with net income of $161 thousand, or $.05 per share, on net sales of $7.69 million for the same period last year.
