HARNISCHFEGER INDUSTRIES EXPANDS POLICY COMMITTEE MILWAUKEE, Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Harnischfeger Industries, Inc.
(NYSE: HPH) has expanded its management policy committee to include the top executive from each of the holding company's operating segments, it was announced today by President and Chief Executive Officer Jeffery T. Grade.
Named to the committee were: John A. McKay, president and chief operating officer of Beloit Corporation; C. Patrick Cousland, president and chief operating officer of Harnischfeger Corporation; and John R. Teitgen, president of Harnischfeger Systems. The three executives join Grade and three Harnischfeger Industries senior vice presidents: Francis M. Corby Jr., K. Thor Lundgren and Richard W. Schulze. "The MPC decision process now gives equal representation to the people who must execute the decisions," said Grade, who became chief executive officer on Jan. 31, succeeding retired CEO William W. Goessel, who continues as chairman. "This is a first step toward enhancing the lines of communication and decision-making between Harnischfeger Industries and its subsidiaries."
