HARMAN INTERNATIONAL INDUSTRIES, INCORPORATED, ANNOUNCES CHANGE
 IN DIRECTORS NOMINATED FOR ELECTION
 WASHINGTON, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Harman International Industries, Incorporated (NYSE: HAR), today announced that Jane Harman, director and secretary of the company, was elected on Tuesday to the U.S. House of Representatives and will not stand for re- election to the board of directors of the company. The board of directors will convene on the morning of Nov. 10, 1992, prior to the annual meeting of stockholders of the company, to nominate a candidate to stand for election to the board and to fill Harman's term.
 The board's nominee will be announced at the annual meeting of stockholders, and the shares of common stock represented by proxies voted for Harman will be voted for the nominee designated by the board of directors, unless such proxies are revoked prior to the annual meeting of stockholders. A proxy may be revoked at any time before it is voted by giving written notice of revocation, or by delivery of a new proxy, to the company at 1101 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W., Suite 1010, Washington, D.C. 20004, or by the stockholder's personal vote at the annual meeting.
