 HARLEYSVILLE NATIONAL CORPORATION POSTS PROFITS FOR SECOND QUARTER
 HARLEYSVILLE, Pa., July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Walter E. Daller Jr., president and chief executive officer of Harleysville National Corporation (NASDAQ-NMS: HNBC), reported today that the company's consolidated net income for the second quarter of 1992 was $2,085,089, or $.85 per share.
 This represents a 5.9 percent increase over the $1,968,601 or $.80 per share, reported for the second quarter of 1991. Consolidated net income for the first six months of 1992 was $3,826,164, or $1.56 per share, a 6.7 percent increase over $3,584,694 or $1.46 per share for the comparable period in 1991. The company's consolidated total assets were $643,740,936 at June 30, 1992. This was 33.2 percent above the June 30, 1991, level of $483,455,627.
 Harleysville National recently consummated its acquisition of Summit Hill Trust company (Carbon County, Pa.) which has approximately $22 million in assets. Harleysville National also recently purchased four branch offices from Philadelphia-based Provident National Bank, a subsidiary of PNC Financial Corp. The offices are located in Quakertown, Collegeville and Sellersville.
 Harleysville National Corporation is a bank holding company headquartered in Harleysville, Montgomery County, Pa. Harleysville National's wholly owned subsidiaries are Harleysville National Bank and Trust Company which operates 15 branch offices in Montgomery and Bucks counties and has assets in excess of $570 million; The Citizens National Bank of Lansford, which has $39 million in assets, located in Carbon County, Pa.; and The Summit Hill Trust Company, which has more than $22 million in assets and also is located in Carbon County. Harleysville National Corporation stock is traded over-the-counter on the NASDAQ National Market System under the symbol "HNBC."
