HARKIN RECEIVES NEW HAMPSHIRE UNION ENDORSEMENT
BETHESDA, Md., Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Building upon the good

relationship Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) has always had with the labor community, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 2320 announced their endorsement of the Democratic presidential candidate.
The Manchester-based union, representing more than 1,700 working men and women throughout the state, made their announcement Wednesday after meting with Harkin.
"Of all the candidates for President, Tom Harkin is the only one who has consistently fought for working people," said IBEW Business Agent Marty Fitzpatrick. "Harkin takes the same tough, pro-working stands that great Democratic presidents -- like Roosevelt, Truman and Kennedy -- did. And he's the only candidate who does."
"I've worked all my life on behalf of ordinary, hardworking Americans. And I will continue to do so throughout this campaign," said Harkin.
Harkin continued: "Under George Bush, the super rich and the big corporations have been given a free ride, while working people have been stuck with the bill. I believe its time to invest in America again -- our workers, health care and our infrastructure -- so we can get people back to work."
Harkin said, "I'm proud to have the support in New Hampshire of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers."
