HARCOR ENERGY ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF TWO NEW DIRECTORS
LOS ANGELES, April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- HarCor Energy Inc.

(NASDAQ: HARC) announced today the appointment of two new members to its board of directors. David Frischkorn has joined the board effective immediately and James Rawls has agreed to join the board effective May 15, 1992. Frischkorn is president of Frischkorn & Co., a Houston- based merchant banking firm specializing in oil and gas corporate finance services. He was previously associated with Kidder Peabody as vice president, Energy Corporate Group in Houston and Rotan Mosle Inc. in Houston where he served as senior vice president, corporate finance. Frischkorn has served as a financial adviser to HarCor over the past year and will continue in such capacity.
Rawls is president of Hughes-Rawls Corp. in Jackson, Miss., an oil and gas exploration and reserve acquisition concern. Rawls is a registered petroleum engineer with 18 years of experience. Rawls began his career at Exxon Corp., and after leaving Exxon joined Deposit Guaranty Bank in Jackson. Rawls spent 10 years at Deposit Guaranty and as senior vice president served as head of the bank's energy lending group.
The appointment of Frischkorn and Rawls fills vacancies created by the resignations on March 30, 1992, of Brian Cornish and Christopher Curnow, both affiliated with Cornwall Petroleum in Sydney, Australia.
Frischkorn has been appointed as a director in Class III to hold office until the 1994 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, and Rawls has been appointed as a director in Class II to hold office until the 1993 annual meeting.
Commenting on the new appointments, Mark Harrington, chairman and chief executive officer of Harcor, stated, "We are extremely pleased with the addition of our new directors. Their extensive experience in a broad cross section of the U.S. oil and gas business will be a valuable asset to HarCor. The board also wishes to thank Cornish and Curnow for their help at HarCor during its formative years."
HarCor is a Los Angeles-based independent oil and gas company with operations in the United States and in Canada through Consolidated HCO Energy Ltd.
