COVENTRY'S biggest community festival will be celebrating its 40th birthday this year - and you could be a part of it.
Every year since 1978, the Earlsdon Festival becomes Coventry's biggest street market for the day.

Earlsdon will be completely transformed into a local bonanza for the event.
Earlsdon Primary School's playground will be transformed into a hub for children's activities - and if you don't want a market stall, more "pitches" are available here but you will need to bring you own equipment.
James Whateley, chairman of the organising team, said; "It's going to be a very special occasion as we mark 40 years since the original Earlsdon Village Festival took place in 1978.
"Earlsdon Street will once again become Coventry's biggest street market for the day, selling all kinds of everything. The stalls are an ideal platform for the city's creative community to showcase their wares as well as being a great way for charities, good causes and community groups to promote themselves. If you want one now is the time to apply."

Whatley " Both Coventry RFC and Wasps have accepted invitations to be part of the festivities.A week long fringe programme of events will take place prior to the festival which will include music gigs, poetry evening, ukulele gathering and a cake competition. Applications for stalls and food concessions are being accepted until January 26.
