HANSEN SPORTS INTRODUCES THE NEW 'WRIST PRO' WRIST PROTECTOR FOR BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL

HANSEN SPORTS INTRODUCES THE NEW 'WRIST PRO' WRIST PROTECTOR
 FOR BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL
MINNEAPOLIS, April 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Hansen Sports' wrist protectors could possibly have prevented the wrist injuries sustained by Lenny Dykstra, Terry Steinbach and Andres Galarraga, as the ball would have hit them on the protective area of the wrist protector. Today's batters wouldn't think of going up to the plate without a helmet, so why take a chance and go to bat without having wrist protection? In addition, the wrist protector can help eliminate injuries in the field, too. Steve Buechele, of Pittsburgh, has had his wrist broken from a wild pitch and now has become a strong endorser for the "Wrist Pro" the past two years.
The product is also licensed by Little League baseball. It is estimated that there are 80,000 to 90,000 injuries in youth baseball each year, and many of them are wrist-related.
The product also has medical uses for people that have had other related wrist injuries as it offers stability and support to weakened areas of the wrist.
The wrist protector is a plastic, ventilated, padded shield enclosed within one side of the wrist band. It is made of the finest quality materials and can be machine washed. The baseball/softball model is packaged with one wrist protector and a matching wrist band. Hansen Sports also has wrist protector models for football and hockey. The football model is licensed by the NFL and will be in their Pro Line and Pro Line for Kids catalogs.
Other top name endorsers of the product include, for the baseball/softball model: Cecil Fielder, Detroit; Eddie Murray, New York; Brian Harper, Minnesota; Juan Gonzalez, Ivan Rodriguez and Dean Palmer, Texas; Steve Lyons, Atlanta; Luis Sojo, Lee Stevens and Bobby Rose, California; and Reggie Jefferson, Cleveland. For the football model: Jim Kelly, Buffalo; and Reggie White, Philadelphia. For the hockey model: Luc Robitaille, Los Angeles; and Dave Gagner, Minnesota.
