HANNAFORD ELECTS BRUCE G. ALLBRIGHT TO ITS BOARD SCARBOROUGH, Maine, Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Hannaford Bros. Co.
(NYSE: HRD) announced the election today of Bruce G. Allbright to its board of directors.
Allbright resides in the Minneapolis, Minn., and Scottsdale, Ariz., areas. He retired in 1990 from Dayton Hudson Corporation, where he had been president and a director since 1987. Prior to that position, he had served as chairman and CEO of the Target Stores subsidiary of Dayton Hudson from 1984 to 1987, and in executive roles at other Dayton Hudson subsidiaries beginning in 1971. He had previously been associated with Genesco for 23 years. Active in numerous civic and business endeavors, Allbright currently serves as a director of G & K Services; TCF Finanncial; Player's Club International; Drug Emporium; Rose's Stores; and Shopko Stores. Hannaford, headquartered in Scarborough, Maine, is northern New England's largest food retailer with sales in 1990 of $1.7 billion.
