 HANNA-BARBERA CLASSIC CHARACTERS JOIN MATTEL TOYS
 LOS ANGELES, Nov. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Mattel Toys will produce and


market a line of toys based on time-honored Hanna-Barbera animated characters through an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement announced today by the two companies.
 The agreement calls for the 1992 introduction of dolls and plush toys based on classic Hanna-Barbera characters, as well as a more youthful version of Yogi Bear and his sidekicks Boo Boo and Cindy Bear which can be seen in the new NBC Saturday morning animated children's program "Yo Yogi!"
 Many of the original animated Hanna-Barbera television programs are currently seen in worldwide syndication and on cable stations nationwide.
 In making the announcement, Jill Barad, president, Mattel USA, said that the Hanna-Barbera characters have broad appeal across all age groups including adults who remember the characters from their youth and children who enjoy Hanna-Barbera animated programs today.
 "The wonderful characters of Hanna-Barbera have entertained children worldwide for decades," she said. "The enduring popularity of these characters plus the product innovation of Mattel will be a winning combination."
