HALIFAX PROTESTS CONTRACT RENEWAL

 ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Halifax Corporation (AMEX: HX) today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Halifax Technical Services, has been notified by the U.S. Marine Corps that another contractor has been selected for award of the expiring Maritime Prepositioning Forces Assets Maintenance Contract presently being performed by Halifax.
 The company has filed a protest to the award with the General Accounting Office and expects to continue to perform under the present contract for several months pending final action on the contract award.
 Halifax is an electronics services and facilities support company for government and industry.
