HALIFAX CORPORATION SUBSIDIARY AWARDED CONTRACT BY U.S. ARMY COMMUNICATIONS ELECTRONICS COMMAND

 ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Halifax Corporation (AMEX: HX) today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Halifax Engineering, Inc., has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) for the long-term life cycle support of the U.S. Army's AT&T and GTE Electronic Digital Switch (EDS) Systems.
 Halifax, as prime contractor, will provide contract management and will be supported in this five-year program by AT&T, AG Communications Systems and GTE Electronic Repair Services, a unit of GTE Supply, as subcontractors.
 Under the terms of the contract, Halifax will furnish technical and parts support, remote diagnostics, software updates and training throughout the United States, Panama and South Korea. While this contract is for an indefinite quantity, management projects potential annual revenues of $10 million.
 Halifax is an electronics services and facilities support company.
