HADRON SUBSIDIARY, ACUMENICS, WINS EXPANDED CONTRACT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE

 FAIRFAX, Va., April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Hadron, Inc.'s (NASDAQ: HDRN) Acumenics Research & Technology, Inc. (Acumenics) subsidiary today announced that it has won the re-competition for a new five-year contract to provide the Department of Justice (DOJ) with computer-based litigation support services. The government estimates that the full amount of this contract is worth in excess of $200 million, and work under it will be divided among three companies.
 Acumenics will provide the Environmental and Natural Resources Division of the Department of Justice with services including database design and retrieval systems; document indexing, coding and abstracting; document repository operations and trial support; and optical imaging.
 Acumenics won a previous five-year contract in 1987 to provide automated litigation support services to the same division. Over the past five years, that contract has resulted in approximately $60 million in revenues for the company.
 Acumenics Research & Technology, Inc. specializes in computer-based litigation support for the U.S. government and the commercial marketplace. Acumenics also provides other computer-related services for the management and support of high technology. Based in Fairfax, Acumenics has regional offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles; Denver; Chicago; New York; Austin, Texas; and Washington.
