HADDELAND NAMED VICE PRESIDENT OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT RELATIONS FOR ASHLAND OIL, INC. ASHLAND, Ky., Aug. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- William G. Haddeland has been named vice president of federal government relations, according to Mac Zachem, senior vice president of external affairs for Ashland Oil, Inc. (NYSE: ASH). Haddeland is responsible for the corporation's federal government relations activities, including the executive branch of government and legislation before Congress, and is responsible for managing the corporation's Washington office. He reports to Zachem. A native of Waubun, Minn., Haddeland is a graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. He joined Ashland Oil in 1981 as regional manager of state government relations, responsible for managing Ashland Oil's legislative and regulatory activities in Minnesota and the Midwest states. In 1984, he was named regional manager of public affairs, based in Minnesota, and, in 1986, he was named director of federal government relations in Washington. Prior to joining Ashland Oil, Haddeland served as director of the Washington office for the state of Minnesota.
