CHILDREN beware: An adult has written a guide to your insults.

Chris Lewis hopes his Dictionary of Playground Slang will help parents understand just what their offspring are saying.

The A to Z includes such delights as eppy (fit of temper), biggins (sweat stain), no chip shop stranger (obese), tonsil hockey (kissing), and wingnut (someone with protruding ears).

Chris, who collected entries for the book from a website, chuckled: "The subject matter could be considered a little obscene - and unsuitable to be read by children."
