Kimberly Anne Guckert and Cameron Lee Long were united in marriage on the evening of August 1, 2009, at the Oxford-University United Methodist Church in Oxford. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. John Case and Mr. David Cooke.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher David Guckert. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Haygood, Mrs. George H. Guckert Sr., and the late Mr. George H. Guckert Sr., all of Jackson.

The groom is the son of Ms. Phyllis Northcutt Long of Clifton, Tennessee, and the late Mr. Lee Olwin Long of Hueytown, Alabama. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Olwin L. Long of Hueytown, Alabama, and the late Mr. Guymon H. Northcutt of Waynesboro, Tennessee, and the late Mrs. Mildred C. Harrell of Birmingham.

Joseph Garrison and Jeff Carter provided nuptial music. Vocalists were Jennifer Chrestman, Jeannie Waller, and Candy Witt. Scripture was read by Brittany Bailey and Dace Lipscomb. Acolytes were Reid Haygood and Will Haygood, cousins of the bride. Program attendants were Catherine Black, Patricia Black, and Lauren Haygood, cousins of the bride. Lindsay Miller served as the bride's proxy.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown of silky taffeta accented with vertical ruching and a beaded trim band at the waist. The full A-line skirt flowed into a chapel-length train. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses and hydrangeas.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was the bride's sister, Natalie Guckert, and Jennifer Chrestman served her sister as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Black and Lane Walton, cousins of the bride; Lauren Long, sister of the groom; Cristen Hoag; Jaimee Lee; Kayla Murphy; Whitney Pettit; Rebecca Sandifer; Paige Wilson; and Jessica Wood. Flower girls were Kada and Izzy Grabowski, cousins of the groom.

Serving as best man was Stephen Long, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Jonathon Gibb, cousin of the groom; Jay Abbattista, Jeff Colvin; Chris DePiano; Weyman Dorsett; Rob Ginter; Kent Hall; Scott Humphryes; Jay Lee; Kevin Micale; and Ford Orton.

The wedding party rode Oxford's double-decker bus to the reception hosted by the bride's parents at the Downtown Grill. Guests were entertained by Silk E Smooth.

On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted at The Rib Cage for the wedding party, family, and friends. After dinner, a late-night party at the Burgundy Room was given by family friends in honor of the bride and groom. Earlier that day, a bridesmaids' luncheon was hosted by the bride's aunts at Castle Hill Resort.

After returning from their honeymoon in Las Vegas, the couple is at home in Birmingham, where the groom is attending law school and the bride is a speech-language pathologist.
