Guard-tour management. (Marketplace).

PROTRAC is a computerized guard-tour management system from TISCOR of Poway, California. Officers use portable data collection devices to document security checkpoints, recording the date, time, and location of each checkpoint visit by scanning a bar code or touching a metal tag. Because information is captured electronically, clerical errors are reduced and officers spend less time completing reports. The system produces detailed reports of the tour and instantly logs any incidents. It accommodates an unlimited number of checkpoints and offers remote communication, as well as optional wireless operation.
