Groupe Eurotunnel (Paris: GET) announced on Tuesday that its board of directors has named Corinne Bach as a non-executive director to its board of directors.
Bach replaces Robert Rochefort , who has resigned from his role on the board. Bach will replace him for the remainder of his mandate.
Also, the ratification of Bach's nomination will be put to the company's Ordinary General Meeting when it meets to approve the accounts for the year ending 31 December 2016.
Bach is currently the chairman and chief executive officer of CanalOlympia and vice president of Vivendi Village within the Vivendi group. Prior to that, she has worked at SFR and NavLink, in both France and the US.
According to the company, its board comprises five female directors out of 11 (45%) and the addition of Bach enables the board to maintain the number of independent directors.
Groupe Eurotunnel SE holds the concession to operate the two rail tunnels beneath the English Channel, terminals in Folkestone in the UK and Coquelles in France, as well as shuttle cars that transport cars and trucks.
