Ground broken at active community.

Ground was broken during a special ceremony last week for the state-of-the-art clubhouse at Encore Monroe, a new active community being developed in joint venture between spectrum communities and The Kalian Companies in this Middlesex County Township.

This year Encore Monroe was named New Jersey's Best Active Adult Community at the New Jersey Builder's Associations Sales & Marketing Awards and won 2003 Active Adult Community of the Year. Over 200 homes have been sold since the community's grand opening in early 2002.

Monroe Mayor Richard Pucci and local officials and dignitaries joined representatives from Spectrum Communities and the Kalian Companies to signify construction commencement for the spectacular new 17,500 square-foot facility.

"We expected much from Encore Monroe," said Mayor Pucci, "and the development of this community has surpassed even our utmost expectations."
