Ground breaks in So. Brunswick on Liz Claiborne warehouse.

Liz Claiborne Shoes, Inc., one of the nation's largest clothing companies, has leased 226,000 square feet of warehouse/distribution space at Forsgate Corporate Center, in a transaction negotiated by the Charles Klatskin Company. Liz Claiborne will take immediate occupancy of the building, which was built on spec, and will employ more than 200 workers at the site.

The announcement coincides with ground breaking for construction of the next speculative warehouse/distribution facility at Forsgate -- a project of nearly 250,000 square feet scheduled for completion in 1994, creating approximately 100 construction jobs.

Liz Claiborne Shoes, Inc. joins Forsgate tenants including Home Depot, Revlon, Automatic Data Processing, Cosmair and Herman Miller, which also occupy facilities in the park.

Forsgate Corporate Center is a 500-acre office and industrial development at Exit 8A of the New Jersey Turnpike, midway between Boston and Washington, D.C. and just 30 minutes from Newark International Airport and Port of Newark and Elizabeth. There is currently 3.6 million square feet of existing and approved space, 90 percent of which is occupied.
