Grossman named to lead Burbank cancer facility.
Dr. Steven Grossman has joined Simonds-Sinon Regional Cancer Center at HealthAlliance Hospital - Burbank Campus, Fichburg, as medical director. In his new position, Dr. Grossman will have overall responsibility for leadership, supervision, direction and integration of the cancer program, as well as becoming a member of the active medical staff. As part of the medical staff, his duties will range from direct patient care to administrative activities.
Dr. Grossman earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Princeton University in Princeton, N.J., and his doctorate in molecular genetics and cell biology and from the University of Chicago.
AdCare Hospital of Worcester, Inc. recognized over 50 employees at a service awards banquet held at the hospital. AdCare Hospital recognized Gail Lovejoy, of food services, for 40 years of service and Nancy Kwederdis, of AdCare's nursing department, for 30 years of service. Paula Morrissette, of inpatient counseling, and Patrice Muchowski, vice president of clinical services, earned 25-year service awards.

The Auburn Visiting Nurse Association announced that Worcester regional home health care entrepreneur and visionary Kim Harmon has been appointed president and CEO. Harmon brings over 15 years of community health and organizational leadership experience within the Worcester community to this new position at the Auburn VNA.
Harmon is the founder of Harmon Home Health. Ms. Harmon describes this move as a natural progression from her role as CEO of Harmon Home Health.
