Greyhounds: Trainers Championship: 'It will certainly go to the wire'.

Sittingbourne RM Jess Packer gives his view:

"ITS definitely shaping up to be an excellent contest, and it will certainly 'go to the wire'. I feel Linda Mullins may just have the edge and will be difficult to beat in the long distance races, and although Lightning Cosmo may struggle in the puppy Race, her standard runners will not let her down.

"Linda Jones has been handed some poor draws and will do well to repeat last year's achievement, although again her standard runners look strong.

"Paul Young, Brian Clemenson and Ernie Gaskin all seem to have a winner amongst their teams, but Nick Savva has plum draws with Sonic Flight and Tessas Dilemma (albeit up against Palace Issue), which may see him challenge for top honours.

"Whoever wins, it's been a privilege to put together a card of this quality and I'm certainly looking forward to some great duals, not least Droopys Viazi and Westmead Woofa.

"I would also like to wish all six trainers the very best of luck and thank them for their promptness in supplying me with their teams, its been a great help."
