Gregory McCaffery named publisher at BNA.

Gregory C. McCaffery, the new publisher at The Bureau of National Affairs, will retain the roles of vice president and editor-in-chief, which he assumed in January 2000. He had previously been director of marketing and new product development, a position he held from 1996 through 1999.

In that capacity McCaffery led BNA's successful migration from print to electronic publishing. Since then he has overseen the corporation's evolution into multiple-format publishing. BNA had annual revenues of $297 million in 2000--the same year BNA acquired Kennedy Information for $47.7 million.

Other BNA divisions include: Pike & Fischer Inc., Silver Spring, Maryland; the Institute of Management and Administration (IOMA), New York City; Tax Management Inc., Washington, D.C.; and STF Services Corp., Syracuse, N.Y.

McCaffery began his career at BNA in 1986 as a reporter and editor.
