Greenspun Media Group Names Two Top Execs in Digital.
The publisher of the Las Vegas Sun has named two Interactive heavyweights to head up its digital division. Greenspun Media Group has appointed Rob Curley as president and executive editor and Chris Jennewein as senior vice president and publisher of its interactive division.
Curley will manage and the operations and editorial departments for the group, while Jennewein will handle new online business approaches and development for all of the company's publications.
"We welcome both Rob and Chris' expertise in enabling our companies to optimize and integrate our media assets in ways that provide increased value to our readers and clients," Brian Greenspun, chairman of The Greenspun Corp., said in a statement.
Before joining the company in Las Vegas, Curley worked as vice president of product development at WashingtonPost.Newsweek Interactive. Prior to that, he was director of new media and development at the Naples Daily News and its sister publications in Florida. He was also in charge of the Interactive operations at the Lawrence (Kan.) Journal-World.
Jennewein most recently served as vice president of Internet operations at The San Diego Union-Tribune, and was responsible for SignOnSanDiego.com. He has worked for 20 years in online operations including at Cox Newspapers and Knight Ridder.
