OLD Street is known for being a cultural hub, with its independent shops and restaurants.
BFrom authentic Indian street food to spicy Mexican favourites and meaty American stacked burgers, it really does have it all.
Now another restaurant has set up, bringing authentic Greek flavours with it.
Waterloo's much-loved Greek restaurant, The Greek Taverna, has opened another venue, on Bold Street.
After more than a decade on South Road, the owners of the restaurant thought it was time to branch out into the city centre.
The new venue will serve its authentic Greek menu, including the popular early bird special that put the restaurant on the map in Waterloo.
The Greek Taverna website reads: "Our customers consider our restaurant a 'home from home' - you'll find all generations, both young and old, having a good time here.
"It's the friendly atmosphere that keeps our customers coming back, along with treating them like welcome guests and serving wholesome, fresh authentic Greek food."
The menu, which caters for vegetarians and meat eaters alike, includes moussaka, kelfitiko, keftedes, stifado, chicken ouzo, kebabs and falafel.
There is also a sharing menu, which includes hot and cold meze and a Greek banquet.
Although the Bold Street restaurant has not been open for long, it has already been given five star ratings on TripAdvisor, with one reviewer writing: "Wow! Amazing."
