Great work, Granby!

Byline: THE TOP TV TOPICS with paddy shennan, the man with the remote

"KIM Gordon, you did a great job up there" - were you joking, Lauren Laverne? (Turner Prize 2015, Channel 4, Monday).

The winner was Assemble, not Assembly - and it's 2015, not 2016.

But it WAS a brilliant night for Liverpool, as the Granby 4 Streets community regeneration project won the prestigious prize for the Londonbased collective. And amidst all the talk and blather about whether the initiative should have even been eligible for the prize, it was great to hear the common sense spoken by Granby resident Hazel Tilley.

Hazel has lived in Cairns Street for 26 years, and she told us that this was "a story about humanity" - and that "if art isn't about humanity, I don't know what it is about."

Well done to Granby - darlings of the art world!
