Great software.

Kids like you wrote in to tell kidsworld their favourite games and sites. Here's what they recommend.

Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?

A wonderful game that's fun and educational. You also get to feel what it's like being a detective. You ask witnesses questions and you find little clues on the ground. These help you make a description of what the thief may look like.

When you find the country the thief is in, you look for a person with this description. When you solve a certain number of cases, you move up in rank levels.

You also get to learn about different cultures and countries with the help of a clue book.

HyperStudio

HyperStudio is a cool computer game for both kids and adults. It's just like creating your own cartoon movie, only every single thing you do is on a computer. You can record your own voice, make your own cards [each cartoon scene is on a card], sound effects, voices, objects and scenes.

Riven and Myst

I recommend the games Riven and Myst. Both games suck you into their virtual world.

Myst is scary. It's about a writer who got lost in his own story and enters another world. You read the book and go there too. You must decide which of his sons are good or bad.

Riven is the seqel to Myst. Even I haven't finished it. You will have to find the stolen Myst book so you can return it. There are many strange worlds, villages and puzzles with realistic surroundings. Let Riven become your world, virtually!

Imagynasium

The motto here is: if you can imagine it, you can make it! And if you can't, then you can get some help from Frida, Riff, Monda, or Roxy! If you like to do collages, then Frida is your kinda gal! You can see her in Downtown! Ya like stories? Go down to The Curio Shop to meet Monda. And, if you like music, then you'll want to meet Riff at the Jingle Jungle! At each of these three places, you can play a fun game. Enjoy!

Ontario4kids www.ontario4kids.com

I'm recommending my Mom's site because it has lots of cool things like jokes, book reports, your favourite places to go in Ontario. This site has lots of things to choose from like fun stuff, teen links, kid links, travel maps and lots more. Plus, if there is something special going on in some month, there will be a little link that has stuff to do with that holiday, etc.

Encarta Learning Zone http://encarta.msn.com

Are you stuck on a homework assignment? Can't find any info on that telephone project? Then I have got the website for you. encarta.msn.com is basically the online Encarta Encyclopedia. It is very useful when all you can find is advertisements for products that you really want history on.
