Great soap recipe! Have any more?

COUNTRYSIDE: I loved your recipe for laundry soap. What I need now from my fellow COUNTRYSIDE readers is a recipe for dish washing liquid that is septic-friendly, and as organic as possible. (I'd like to put the used dish washing water on my garden.)

Also, does anyone have a use for a dead clothes washer? When the motor goes on my washing machine, I plan to go with hand washing/ wringing/laundry tubs--no more machines to break down!

I've seen somewhere a way to turn a washing machine into a meat smoker. Any other clever ideas out there?--Ronna Pisha, Maine
