Great grandmother murder denied.
Jamie Limbrick, 18, entered not guilty pleas to the murder and rape of Marjorie Davis between September 1 and 4, 2003. He also denied arson and three counts of theft between the same dates.
The body of Mrs Davies was found in the farmhouse building where she lived in Forge Lane,Upleadon, near Newent, Gloucestershire,on September 3, 2003.
The property, owned by Gillian and Malcolm Limbrick,Mrs Davis's daughter and son-in-law,had been badly damaged by fire.
The three theft charges relate to a debit card, pounds 200 in cash and pounds 50 in cash belonging to Mrs Davis.
Limbrick only spoke to confirm his name and pleas.
A further plea and directions hearing is due to take place in July and Limbrick, who is of no fixed address, was remanded in custody.
