Great day at Insole Court; Yousay IN YOUR OPINION...

IT was a great pleasure to welcome so many visitors to Insole Court on Sunday, September 15, when the house was open as part of the Civic Trust for Wales' Open Doors event.

The Insole Court Trust and Friends of Insole Court worked together to provide an entertaining afternoon which included the first public showing of recently discovered photographs, a new heritage hunt prepared for the event, and an exhibition of Insole Court past, present and future.

The highlight was "Mr Insole" (played by John Prior Morris) in his study, eager to talk to house guests about his life and family.

We were delighted by a surprise visit by Ruth Madoc, a new supporter, who enjoyed her first time at Insole Court - we hope she will make many return visits.

All this was brought about by the large number of volunteers who worked on the day as welcomers and guides and also provided the lovely afternoon Victorian tea.

It was a great team effort which brought together so many intent on furthering the start of the Insole Court Renewal Project.
