Gran's movie dream turns into reality.

A GRANNY plans to walk down a red carpet in Italy later this year when the film version of one her books gets a glamour screening.

Another Me, by Cathy McPhail, will be premiered in Rome this November.

The cast includes Jonathan Rhys Meyers from The Tudors, Sophie Turner from Game Of Thrones and Notting Hill actor Rhys Ifans.

Widow Cathy, 67, wrote Another Me in 2003 and, despite selling the film rights, had almost given up on seeing it on the screen.

The Scot said: "It's every writer's dream.

"It's really exciting. It has a great cast. I haven't seen the film yet but I plan to get to the premiere."
