Gran's appeal.

A TYNESIDE grandmother's campaign has raised thousands of pounds.

Rose Brown set up the Lucas charity to raise money for the hospital treating her desperately ill grandson.

Two-year-old Lucas Longthorpe is only one of 24 children in the world battling pleuropulmonary blastoma, a rare childhood chest tumour.

He has already lost both his kidneys to the condition and cysts are also attacking his lungs.

Mrs Brown has raised pounds 3,000 for her grandson.
