Graduating with flying colours now.

Byline: By Kate Walton

June is an important month in the fashion calendar with London Graduate Fashion Week revealing the designer stars of the future.

Fashion writer Kate Walton has produced her own range of bags which will be on display at one of the shows.

Inspired by celebrities and their latest fads, the collection consists of six different leather bags to suit each activity. The range includes bags for ballet, knitting, golf, yoga, gardening and polo all targeted towards the time-starved modern woman.

The ballet bag is designed around a traditional ballet bag, produced in cream and baby pink leather, featuring an inside zip pocket and exterior pocket tied with leather tassels to accommodate a woman's accessories.

The golf bag is designed to fit inside a locker. Also having a zip pocket inside, this bag has leather hoops to hold tees and a net pocket for pencils or a mobile phone.

The knitting bag is baby blue with a knitted lining; large enough to accommodate knitting needles, on the exterior is an elasticised pouch to hold a ball of wall.

Before the photo shoot, model Liz Lunn of AM Model Agency, had her make-up done by Helen Lilley at YSL in Boots, Newcastle.

After applying a complexion enhancer, radiance smoothing foundation and the best selling touchA Aclat was used. To extenuate the eyes, Helen used a long-lasting brown eye pencil softened with a natural coloured eye shadow and burgundy luxurious mascara to finish. Touch blush was applied for a natural glow along with a nude lip-gloss and liner to finish.

In the ballet studio at Dance City, Liz wears a net dress under peach and black skirts and a matching vest top with ballet shoes and an Alice band.

While knitting, Liz models a knit peach camisole (peach being the colour of the season) under a knitted brown shawl, pale stripe Capri pants and quirky lace shoes.

For the golf scene, Liz wears a mint green polo shirt (very trendy at the moment) with a pair of must-have knee-length shorts, which can look great with heels! Yes heels!

All golf equipment was provided by the McKenna Golf Store at Newcastle City Golf Course in Gosforth.

London Graduate Fashion Week is held in association with Topshop on the June 7 to 10 in Battersea Park, London (Tickets can be bought on arrival).

Fashion marketing students at Northumbria University will exhibit their work all week alongside National Universities.

All bags were manufactured by La Prevo, 1 Charlotte Square, Newcastle, who specialise goods and manufacturing, established in 1978.

Special thanks to Pete at La Prevo; Liz Lunn and AM Model Agency ; Leanne at Topshop; Helen at YSL, Boots; all the staff at the McKenna Golf Store; to Dance City and Fenwick.
