Govt asks to provide funds to shift District Courts in G-10.

ISLAMABAD -- The government should provide urgent funds for the construction of lawyers chambers on the plot adjacent to Islamabad High Court building in G-10.

The presence of district courts in F-8 Commercial Center has been a great security threat for the lives of honorable judges and lawyers while traders and residents of the area are also facing many problems.

President ICCI Muzzamil Hussain, President IBA Zahid Mehmood and Chairman ICCI Committee Muhammad Ejaz Abbasi demanded during a joint press conference.

They said Judicial Complex West in G-10, where presently Islamabad High Court (IHC) exists, was built for district courts and demanded that the under construction building of IHC at Shahra-e-Dastoo.

They said files of Judicial Complex East, Lawyers Chambers and Judicial Colony were lying pending in the Prime Minister Office since July 2014 for approval and demanded that Prime Minister should accord approval of these files along with allocation of funds so that construction of these projects could get started.
