Governor seeks support in European countries to steady development of Brasilia.
Brasili, Nov. 9 -- The Governor Agnelo Queiroz is on an official trip, which begins in Germany and ends in Brussels, on Belgium, where it will be treated subjects as the possibility of Brasilia host the "Universiade 2019" and the signing of the agreement for the belgian and brazilian capital become sister cities, beyond other actions.
And on Saturday (9), in Brussels, the governor will defend the federal capital to host the World University Summer Games, known as Universiade.
Last Friday was sign an agreement on cooperation between Brasilia and Brussels to the two capitals become sister cities. The partnership will enable the strategic cooperation in education and training, science and technology, urban planning and transport, among others.
On Thursday (7), the head of the local executive and his entourage consisting of Secretaries of State met in Cologne (Germany) to sign the Agreement on Scientific Technical Cooperation between the Novacap, the Research Support Foundation of the District Federal (FAP-DF) and the german government.
The international event is organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and occurs every two years. For 2019, Brasilia dispute only with Budapest and Hungary.
BRASILIA WITHOUT BORDERS - On the agenda of the international mission is also expected a reunion with the Minister of Education, Youth, Equal Opportunities and Business of Belgium, Pascal Smet.
At the meeting will be discussed, essentially, the "Brasilia Without Borders in 2014" program. Next year, the GDF evaluates the possibility of sending young people and civil servants of the government to immersion and educational exchange in Brussels.
Besides the governor, the committee is formed by the head of the International Advisory, Odilon Frazao, and Secretaries of Science, Technology and Innovation, Glauco Rojas, of Tourism, Luiz Otavio, and Sports, Julio Ribeiro.
Also accompanying governor, the deputy district Washington Mesquita, the president of FAP-DF, Alexandre Gouveia, the President of Novacap, Nilson Martorell, and the Director of Special Works of Novacap, Maruska Lima.
