Government members to perform their duties until formation of new cabinet.

Until formation of a new government, the Prime Minister and government members continue performing their duties, the law department of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan said in its explanations regarding the order of formation of the parliamentary majority coalition on March 19.

According to the Constitution, the President will instruct one of parliamentary factions to form a parliamentary majority coalition and to nominate a candidate for the Prime Minister's post within 15 working days.

In case the Parliament does not approve the program, structure and composition of the government upon expiry of 15 working days, the President tasks another faction to form the parliamentary majority and nominate a candidate for Prime Minister within 15 days.

A candidate for Prime Minister should submit a program, structure and composition of the government within the term mentioned above.

In case the Parliament does not approve the program, structure and composition of the government, parliamentary factions (for the third time) should form the parliamentary majority and nominate a candidate for Prime Minister on their own.

Programs, structure and composition of the government should be submitted to the Parliament for consideration within 7 working days since nomination.

So, formation of the parliamentary majority, nomination of a candidate for the Prime Minister, submission of a program, structure and composition of the government and their consideration should be held within 15 working days, the law department emphasized.

The Speaker will forward the received program, structure and composition of the government to all members of the parliament and for consideration at the extraordinary session of the Parliament.
