What do Martha Stewart, Lily Tomlin and the cast of Will & Grace all have in common? They all have mice -- not the four-legged kind, but the computer kind. Along with 125 other celebrities, artists, designers, architects, high-tech and dot-com folks, they've lent their creativity to a good cause.
The Destination Foundation expects to raise more than $100,000 with its charity auction, Tails of the City 2.0. The event's proceeds will be used to grant dream trips to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender men and women in the San Francisco Bay area who have been diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses, are in financial need or are permanently disabled.
The decorated mice are on display March 22 through May 17 at the Metreon Sony Entertainment Center in San Francisco, and online at www.tailsofthecity.org.
